About Rooms Ballerup

Rooms Ballerup is an off-campus residence hall, which offers affordable student housing for students who shares a room.

We offer rooms from 15 m2 to 30 m2 which are suitable to be shared by 2-3 friends. Our largest rooms can house 3 friends sharing, which is the maximum allowed in any room.

We do not offer rooms or apartments with private kitchen, bath, and toilet. Instead, we offer a dorm-room style living, mainly known from the US. There are plenty of common areas to eat, study, work out and socialize, so your room is typically used as a place to sleep.

Cooking and dining takes place in our large shared kitchen and adjacent dining hall.

There are 2 large common shower areas with changing rooms, one for females and one for males.

Housed in a previous office building, all rooms are former offices, which have been converted to student housing.

The first rooms are available to move in October 1, 2018.

By January 2019 more rooms will be available.

Get a room
We will accept applications from August 23 2018 to September 9 2018. On September 10 we will notify all applicants, if they have been accepted or not. We will fill the spots in the order we receive the applications, so apply early if you want to improve your chances of getting a room. Use the application form on our website to apply. We will offer you a wait list spot, if we cannot offer you a room. The wait list will also be filled in the order we receive applications. If you are offered a room, we will include a rental contract that you must sign and return September 14, which is also the deadline to make your initial payment.

Come and visit us
Showings are by appointment only. Appointments are available on the following dates:

Saturday: August 25 2018, from 11.00 to 13.00
Sunday: August 26 2018, from 11.00 to 13.00
Saturday: September 1, 2018, from 11.00 to 13.00
Sunday: September 2, 2018, from 11.00 to 13.00
Saturday: September 8 2018, from 11.00 to 13.00
Sunday: September 9 2018, from 11.00 to 13.00

We expect each showing will take 10 - 15 minutes.

Please note that if you wait for the late dates, it may be too late. We will rent the rooms in the order we receive applications.

Make an appointment
You must schedule an appointment before you show up. Send an email to admin@rooms.dk. Please include the following information: Name, email, phone number, Facebook, school and education, which room type you are interested in, date and time you would like to come, how many persons will come to the showing.

If it absolutely is impossible for you to make it on one of the above dates, then send an email to admin@rooms.dk, and let us know your circumstance, and what other time could suit you. We will then try to accommodate you.

Initial payment
Before you move in, you must sign a contract, and pay 3 months deposit and the first months rent.

Room Types

We offer 4 different room types, in 3 different sizes. All rooms are unfurnished. The prices below each room type are for the room only excluding the cost of water, heat, and electricity, which is divided among all students, but capped at max. DKK 450 per month.

Optional extras:
Basic furniture (1 bed, 1 desk with 1 chair, and 1 closet or 1 drawer): DKK 400 per month.
Linen (1 sheet, 1 pillow with pillow case, 1 duvet with cover): DKK: 100 per month
Internet in your room (a hard wired ethernet connection): DKK 100 per month per room
Wireless router (requires internet in your room). DKK 50 per month
Bicycle rent. DKK 250 per month
